So I will keep my posts short
Today I am dropping by quickly to share a new card I made...

I have the frilly butterfly as my focal point & I have used the sentiment from Petite Banners ...
I stamped the sentiment & die cut it using the coordinating die from Fancy Labels 3 Die  ..

On the way to the Dream

Hello Friends...

I don't usually make vintage cards... But I wanted to try it with some IBS stamps...
I have used stamps from 4 different stamp sets...
I started with stamping & heat embossing 4 frames from the Fancy Labels 3 stamp set...
Then I inked the background with spun sugar, antique linen & vintage photo & stamped the flourish image from Spring Lilacs stamp set repeatedly to give the background the look of old wall paper with 4 photo frames...

Next I took my watercolor paper &stamped the images from Fancy Labels 3Spring Lilacs stamp set & Lily Of The Valley in light brown ink & colored them to make pictures for my photo frames

I took the sentiment from Words of Inspiration stamp set  & stamped it on a die cut & adhered it inside the card...

Thanks for visiting today...

A Friend Walks in

Hello Friends...

I know its a bit quiet here on my blog...
I have been a bit busy with some family issues & workshops...
I am still crafting  but not getting time to click the photographs & the rainy weather is not helping either..
So please excuse the not so good quality of photographs...

Moving on to my card for today...
I really love the sentiments on Words of Inspiration stamp set & wanted to make a card with one of the sentiments as the focal point..
So I got out my new oval die, stencils, inks & other tools & got to work...
& here is what I came up with..
I had never tried this color combination but I love how it turned out...

Hope you like it...

Celebrating You

Hello Friends...

Today I have a birthday card & envelope set to share with you all...
I have decorated both side of this envelope...
The watercolor panel on the card & the envelope flap was heat embossed in white pearl & fussy cut...
I am in love with this butterfly... I painted it with perfect pearl powder for the pearl finish which matches with the pearl embossing & gives it such an elegant look...
I hope you like it...

Rose Basket

Hello friends...

Has it ever happened to you that you wanted a background that matched perfectly with your focal image & couldn't find it in your stash... what would you do in such situation???
This happened to me when I was making this card & then I had to improvise & make my own pattern paper with the stamps, coloring & distressing...
I started with the gorgeous rose stamp from the Basket of Flowers stamp set...
I stamped it twice, colored it & then cut out the rose & leaves part...
I overlapped the 2 pieces & arranged them on top of my die cut basket..
& then when I couldn't find anything that matched my design I made my own pattern paper...
I stamped the pretty rose stamp from the Fancy Labels 3 stamp set in very light color & colored it with a no-line watercolor effect...

Next I distressed the edges with various inks till I liked the look...
Once that was done I stamped the script stamp from the Background Basics III stamp set in the same light color that I had used for the flowers for some subtle texture & then again stamped it with the musical notes stamp from the same stamp set for the vintage look...
Here is a close up of the custom made pattern paper for my card...
Hope you like it...
