2013 Magnetic Calendar Day... - 4

Hello...

Continuing with the calendar series here is my 4th calendar for 2013
(Check out my previous calendar here, here & here...)

I love the owl punch from stampin' up...
It is on top of my wish list....
But I couldn't wait to make something with the cute owl till I get my hands on that punch so I decided to do the next best thing....
I made my own template & made this cutie with scissors & papers...  :)
I used googly eyes to give it some dimension & movement...
I popped up the owl on black foam tape...

The base is embossed with craft universe embossing folder & the leaves are sizzix die cuts...

I also added 4 magnets on each corner at the back...

And below is the calendar I made for the Swap... The design of this calendar is same as the above one but this is a desktop calendar...

This calendar went to Rajni Ji...

Some Paper Bookmarks

Helloo...

My scrap box has started to overflow....
So I thought of making something using them...
& make a little dent in my ever growing pile of scrap papers...
& while going through them I found 6 die cut white bookmarks...
I was itching to use my new eyelet setter I bought few days back....

So... Tada....

I made 6 bookmarks....

I have used different techniques for all of them...
The first one is made with brown embossed CS... The green panel is White ivory square embossed & shaded with pencil colours on the debossed side...

I had 1 piece of ivory that I had misted with pink colour ages ago... I embossed it & coloured the leaves with green pencil colour & applied some magenta 3D outliner dots on the embossed berries...
The piece below the green ribbon is a scrap piece that was left from an old project....

The third bookmark is also made from a wet embossed CS  left from an old card...
I used my MS Doily Punch to make the white paper ribbon, then added a red ribbon & 3 rhinestones & done....

For the fourth bookmark I distressed the edges of the bookmark with frayed burlap distress ink, embossed a Purple CS with birds & swirls embossing folder & brayed with the same distress ink, Distressed the edges with my scissors, added some brown rhinestones, eyelet & ribbon & done...

For the fifth bookmark I used the negative of a die cut butterfly for the focal point. I embossed a small pink square & adhered it to the back of diecut & added pearls in the center. Then I adhered it on a partially embossed & distressed cream handmade CS & added a ribbon & some light purple rhinestones for the finishing touches.

The last one is pretty simple... I just used the tile punch on purple CS & added rhinestones in the center of each flower.

Thanks for visiting...  :)

Stamping

Helloooo Everyone....

Its been a long time since I last posted on my blog....
& the reason is that my PC's monitor stopped working few days before Diwali...
& because of the festive season & Mumbai band after that I couldn't get it fixed...
After that I finally found someone to repair it ..
But unfortunately he couldn't get the replacement for the damaged part even after a week...
So finally we had to buy a new monitor...
It is 22 inch Led Monitor from LG...    :)
& now I can again work on my PC.... Surf the Net... Relish all the wonderful creations in blogoland ...
Post on my Blog... Connect with you all....
Its such a relief ... Have I told you....I Love my PC...  :D

Anyways... I did a lot of crafting in the past 2 weeks ...
& I will share them with you all as soon as I do the photoshoot & watermark my photographs...
I was not even able to click images as the memory of my camera was almost over & I couldn't transfer the pix to my PC...

Till then here is a card I made sometime ago...

Its my first attempt at colouring stamped images with Pencil colours...

Small Gift Boxes

Hello....

I made some small gift boxes this week...
They are 1.5" x 1.5" x  1.5" approximately...
These are sample pieces made for my friend's jewellery boutique...
She will use them as ring boxes but they are ideal for small gifts also...
& they are soooo cute... even if I say it myself... hehehe...  :)

I used white ivory board for the top part & Coloured CS ( 200 - 220 gsm )for the bottom part.
I cut both using the largest Scallop Square Die & then scored & cut them.
I wanted every box to be different so I embossed the top part using different embossing folders...
Then I assembled the boxes...
I used double sided tissue tape to adhere matching 1/8" ribbons...
The flowers & butterflies on top are made using different dies & punches...
Most of the flowers below are my experiments with different die cuts & punches...
I mixed & matched them till I liked the results...

The Lotus below is made with 5 petal Punch in 2 sizes & the center is made with dark brown seed beads...
& the embossing folder is from Itsy-Bitsy...

The flower below is made with scallop circle & the center is made with  seed beads...
& the embossing folder is from Darice...
I used some purple glitter glue on the petals for some shine & colour variation...
