Here is the card that I created using Moonlight Fairy & Look For The Rainbows stamps for this blog hop...
- To make this card I started with my background...I taped the Carabella Studio Petales Stencil to my textured white cardstock using low tack tape.
- Then I used my flat paint brush to apply some distress inks in the rainbow order ( Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet)
- Use the brush to lift some color from the ink pad & then swipe it on the stencil with a flicking motion to achieve the gradation of color.
- Carefully remove the stencil & trim the cardstock down to 4" x 5 1/4".
- Then stamp Moonlight Fairy & Look For The Rainbows stamps with Black Archival Ink on the bottom right corner.
- Use foam adhesive to mount it on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white card base.
Thanks for stopping by - your next stop is Angel. Hop over and see what she has created and be sure to leave some love!

ReplyDeleteHi Danny, The stencil is from Carabelle Studio.
DeleteStunning! Did you apply the ink wet or dry?
ReplyDeleteCan you please tell me the NAME of the stencil? I have searched for Carabelle Studio stencils and have not been able to locate this particular stencil, even on the Carabelle Studio web site. I guess that means that it is discontinued, but I hope I might find it elsewhere if I knew the name. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe name is Carabelle stencils - Petales
DeleteThank you!
DeleteI was finally able to track this stencil down at www.timetocreate.com.au, an Australian site which carries Carabelle stencils and stamps. I was amazed at how low the shipping cost was - it was equivalent to (or less than) the cost charged at US sites.
