Few Diwali Cards

Hello ...
How have you been....
I know I have been MIA...
Actually we were in the process of shifting from my old flat to a new one....
& here I got a whole room to myself for my crafting.....
I have a lot of storage space in my new craft room & I have neatly organised my craft stuff...Yayyyy...
Now that every thing is settled I got back to crafting...
Yesterday I made few cards for Diwali...
I know its a bit late but still....  :)

The base is emossed with stars embossing folder from itsy-bitsy...
The Kandeels are made with Stained Glass embossing folders, 3mm green satin ribbons & golden 3D outliner... .

The kandeels are adhered with foam tape to give them some dimension..

The frame is made with victorian square dies.. & the border is stamped with golden ink & Green ribbon is added above it...
Red Double Sided Tape was used to adhere the Green Ribbon on the red CS.
Lord Ganesha is hand sketched & then outlined with golden 3D outliner.

The Diyas are hand cut & then I used golden 3D outliner to decorate it...
The border is made with tile punch & Gold trim with sequins...
Red Double Sided Tape was used to adhere the Gold Trim on the red CS.

The diya is adhered with foam tape to give it some dimension...

Hand Painted Diwali Diya Part I

Diwali is one of the biggest festival of Hindus & it is celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness. Diwali is popularly known as the "festival of lights". It involves the lighting of small clay lamps ( Diya in Hindi ) filled with oil to signify the triumph of good over evil. This year Diwali is on 26th of October and everyone is busy in its preperation.... I bought some plain clay diyas and painted them with different colours and then decorated them with stones and glitter powder. Hope you all like them....
