My 1st DT Inspiration for For The Love of Crafting..

Hello..

This is my first DT inspiration post for ' For The Love of Crafting '
The theme for this month's challenge is Season's Stories!

I choose to make a card for summer season..
The digi is a freebie...( I am searching the link & will update this post with the link asap...)
It was coloured & then fussy cut..

I have been playing with my new dies a LOT so you will see them in almost all of my creations now... hehehe

As spring is my favorite season.. I also made a 2nd card on spring theme after I made the card for summer season...
I love the colourful flowers & butterflies...
In this card also I have used a lot of my new dies...

Calendar in a gift box

Hello..

Today I am going to share a very special project with you all...
Its a gift I made for my  sister's birthday..
I made 1 calendar with gift box & 1 cardini with gift box...
I will share the cardini in my next post...

I forgot to measure the size of the finished items as I was in a hurry to pack it & dispatch it...
I made a Purple, pink & green box for the calendar...
I used a Sizzix embossing folder with ink applied on the debossed side for faux letterpress effect.
The pink matte was also inked up to get a rich & bright pink colour...
The sentiment is a freebie...It was printed & then diecut with spellbinders labels 4...
the pink matte behind the sentiment was also diecut & sponged with memento rose bud ink..
The paper lace was punched with MS Doily punch & the I adhered the dark green satin ribbon on top with Red Double Sided Tape..

The base of the box is green...
I added 1 strip of satin ribbon around the lid & the base of the gift box to give it some added strength & beauty...
I wrapped the calendar in 2 matching paper napkins to prevent any damage during transit & it also serves the decorative purpose...

Now you can tell the reason behind the colour combination of the box...  :)
Purple is one of her fav colours so I made the calendar in this combination...
The base of the calendar is done as the box lid...
The flowers & leaves were punched, sponged, embossed & then assembled...

Here is the closeup of the flower arrangement...

She loved the calendar & the box...  :)
Stay tuned for the Cardini....

Small Gift Boxes

Hello....

I made some small gift boxes this week...
They are 1.5" x 1.5" x  1.5" approximately...
These are sample pieces made for my friend's jewellery boutique...
She will use them as ring boxes but they are ideal for small gifts also...
& they are soooo cute... even if I say it myself... hehehe...  :)

I used white ivory board for the top part & Coloured CS ( 200 - 220 gsm )for the bottom part.
I cut both using the largest Scallop Square Die & then scored & cut them.
I wanted every box to be different so I embossed the top part using different embossing folders...
Then I assembled the boxes...
I used double sided tissue tape to adhere matching 1/8" ribbons...
The flowers & butterflies on top are made using different dies & punches...
Most of the flowers below are my experiments with different die cuts & punches...
I mixed & matched them till I liked the results...

The Lotus below is made with 5 petal Punch in 2 sizes & the center is made with dark brown seed beads...
& the embossing folder is from Itsy-Bitsy...

The flower below is made with scallop circle & the center is made with  seed beads...
& the embossing folder is from Darice...
I used some purple glitter glue on the petals for some shine & colour variation...
